Duties

• Independently manage a caseload involving medical malpractice claims

• Work collaboratively with other attorneys, team members, and Partners on complex legal projects

• Regularly appear in court for motions, conferences, and depositions

• Communicate directly with clients to provide case updates and strategic counsel

• Manage a significant caseload of COVID-related lawsuits as part of broader responsibilities

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of defense litigation experience

• Prior experience in medical malpractice litigation preferred

• Ability to manage cases independently and proactively

• Strong client communication skills

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Admission to practice law in the State of New York

Skills

• Excellent written and oral advocacy skills

• Strong organizational and case management abilities

• Proficiency in legal research and drafting motions and discovery documents

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment

• Legal project management experience is a plus
