IP Litigation Resource Attorney

Job Overview:
A law firm is seeking an experienced IP Litigation Resource Attorney to support its IP Litigation practice. The role involves helping attorneys stay informed, efficient, and successful by providing resources, staying updated on legal and regulatory changes, and assisting with the creation of publications and internal resources. This position does not involve direct client representation and will not require billing time to clients.

Location:

• New York City, NY

Duties:

• Stay current on legal and regulatory developments relevant to the IP Litigation group.
• Develop topics and assist in the preparation of client alerts, white papers, blog posts, and other similar publications.
• Create, maintain, and update archives of work products and know-how within the practice group.
• Assist in coordinating speaking engagements, webinars, and related materials.
• Collaborate with the Marketing department to formulate and execute branding strategies and evaluate market trends.
• Provide information and support to Marketing for RFPs and other business development opportunities.
• Foster consistency, knowledge sharing, and a consistent approach within the group for client interactions.
• Coordinate with Professional Development to enhance skill development and provide training for group members.
• Work with Information Services to assess available technologies and develop new solutions that can improve group efficiency.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in patent litigation, with some experience in trade secret litigation.
• Licensed attorney in good standing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong drafting skills and ability to produce clear and concise documents.
• Confidence in presenting information and engaging various audiences.
• Strong intellectual ability and interpersonal skills.
• Highly organized, with the ability to manage time and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Self-starter with a collaborative and team-oriented approach.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the Bar in the relevant jurisdiction.

Skills:

• Deep understanding of patent and trade secret law.
• Familiarity with industries like technology and life sciences.
• Proficiency in legal research and document preparation.
• Strong technical skills with the ability to implement effective solutions.
• Exceptional organizational and project management abilities.
