A well-established law firm in New York City is seeking an Associate Attorney to join their litigation team. This is a full-time opportunity for an attorney with a strong foundation in general litigation. The ideal candidate will be experienced in handling matters from initiation to resolution, including trials and appeals in both state and federal courts. Duties:

• Manage a range of litigation cases, from initial filing to resolution
• Prepare legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and briefs
• Conduct depositions and attend hearings
• Engage in extensive motion practice and case strategy discussions
• Communicate regularly with senior attorneys and clients, ensuring timely case progress
• Support in resolving cases efficiently, maintaining high-quality standards of legal work
• Represent clients in court and during settlement negotiations
• Maintain thorough documentation of case details and client interactions

Requirements:

• Active membership in the New York and New Jersey State Bar
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in general litigation
• Proficient in preparing legal documents and performing legal research
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Experience in handling both state and federal court matters
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
• Capacity to manage a caseload efficiently and effectively

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Admission to the New York and New Jersey State Bar

Skills:

• Strong legal research and writing skills
• Knowledge of litigation procedures in both state and federal courts
• Ability to draft clear and persuasive legal documents
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
