Job Overview

A nationally recognized defense litigation firm is seeking a Mid to Senior Level Attorney with significant experience in litigation and claims management to support a major logistics services provider on a national scale. This role requires an attorney with strong experience in commercial transportation, casualty litigation, and managing claims across multiple jurisdictions. The position offers a hybrid work model and the opportunity to collaborate with legal professionals across the country while taking ownership of complex matters from inception through resolution.

Location

Duties

• Independently manage a litigation caseload from inception to resolution

• Oversee a national claims management program for a large client

• Ensure legal compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations throughout litigation and claims processes

• Draft legal documents and develop legal strategies for defending claims

• Communicate with clients and internal stakeholders to provide case updates and legal guidance

• Collaborate with attorneys, partners, and support staff across offices

• Negotiate settlements and resolution agreements on behalf of clients

• Supervise legal projects with attention to litigation efficiency and process improvement

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years and up to 15 years of experience in general casualty, commercial, government, or administrative litigation

• Experience in transportation, logistics, trucking, or regulatory compliance strongly preferred

• Familiarity with legal issues related to e-commerce and gig economy is a plus

• Previous involvement in national liability claims programs preferred

• Client counseling and eDiscovery experience preferred

• Demonstrated success in managing complex, multi-jurisdictional litigation

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction

Skills
