Duties
- Analyze legal issues and review strategies with Managing Attorney.
- Handle a caseload of litigated title curative matters.
- Provide legal support to the title team.
- Ensure timely updates to client systems and case management system.
- Prepare and review legal documents for compliance.
- Research and analyze statutes and judicial decisions.
- Draft foreclosure-related motions and pleadings.
- Review and analyze real estate law and title cases.
- Draft bankruptcy motions and other filings.
- Perform quality control reviews of documents and staff work.
- Participate in trials at the state and federal level.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree with a Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
- Must be MD barred; DC barred is a plus.
- Experience with banks or mortgage servicers is a plus.
- Experience in title curative matters or real estate litigation is preferred.
Education
- Bachelor's Degree
- Juris Doctorate
Certifications
- Bar admission in Maryland; DC is a plus.
