Job Overview:
A leading law firm in the Phoenix, AZ area is seeking a dedicated Associate Immigration Attorney to join its immigration practice. This role offers a significant opportunity for growth, client advocacy, and legal strategy development within a collaborative team environment. Location:

Duties:
Explain immigration law concepts and develop strategic legal approaches tailored to client needs
Represent clients in removal proceedings before the Immigration Court and Board of Immigration Appeals
Conduct intake and interviews with detained individuals at detention facilities
Manage a full caseload of immigration matters with minimal supervision
Prepare and review a wide range of immigration applications, including removal defense and family-based petitions
Provide legal consultations and formulate case strategies for new and existing clients
Prepare clients and witnesses for testimony in court and at USCIS interviews
Draft and file legal briefs, motions, and documentation for USCIS and EOIR cases
Engage with community organizations, law enforcement, and government agencies on immigration law updates
Oversee or collaborate with legal assistants and paralegals to ensure accurate and timely filings
Requirements:
3 to 5 years of immigration law experience
Demonstrated ability to handle complex and diverse immigration cases
Strong commitment to team collaboration and client advocacy
Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred, not required)
Experience working with detained clients, EOIR proceedings, humanitarian relief, and USCIS applications
Proficiency in legal case management software (preferred)
Education:
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
Certifications:
Active license to practice law in any U.S. jurisdiction
Skills:
Strong legal research and writing skills
Effective communication and client counseling abilities
High level of organization and attention to detail
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
Competence in formulating and executing complex legal strategies
