Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Commercial Litigation Associate in Saint George, UT. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of experience in handling insurance coverage disputes within the commercial insurance sector. Experience with various types of insurance coverage and complex commercial litigation is preferred.

Duties

• Review and analyze commercial insurance policies and claim files.
• Draft insurance coverage evaluations and position letters.
• Conduct legal research and analysis for coverage evaluations and litigation.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Represent clients in court appearances, depositions, mediations, and arbitrations.
• Manage and prioritize a diverse caseload.
• Collaborate with partners on complex litigation matters.
• Communicate effectively with clients and other parties involved in litigation.
• Participate in strategy discussions and case planning.

Requirements

• Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school with an excellent academic record.
• Admission to the state bar corresponding to the office location and in good standing.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to interface directly with attorneys and clients.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and productively.
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
• Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Outstanding judgment and ability to handle multiple projects.
• Commitment to the local community.

Education

• Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications
