Job Title: Associate Attorney

Job Overview:
A respected law firm based in Jacksonville, FL is seeking an Associate Counsel to support its practice focused on defending workplace injury claims. The role is open to candidates residing anywhere in Florida, with full remote flexibility. The selected individual will independently manage a portfolio of matters while receiving strategic guidance from a senior legal partner. This is an ideal opportunity for an entry-level or early-career attorney with strong writing skills and a keen interest in litigation and administrative proceedings involving employee injury disputes.

Duties:

• Represent clients in matters related to occupational injury claims

• Partner with senior legal professionals to devise and implement case strategies

• Interpret and evaluate medical documentation relevant to each matter

• Prepare legal submissions, pleadings, and various litigation documents

• Engage with clients regularly to provide updates and gather input

• Maintain autonomy and accountability in a remote work structure

• Navigate digital legal systems and virtual hearing environments

Requirements:

• At least 1 year of experience practicing law (entry-level candidates also considered)

• Proficient in analyzing factual and legal issues, especially those involving medical elements

• Demonstrated legal writing skills and oral communication abilities

• Comfortable working independently in a virtual setting

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in the state of Florida

• Member in good standing with The Florida Bar

Skills:

• Strong attention to detail in written legal analysis

• Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize a varied caseload

• Familiarity with litigation support tools and legal tech platforms

• Adaptability in virtual workspaces and remote client interaction

• Previous experience with workers’ compensation law is advantageous
