Job Overview

A law firm seeks a motivated and detail-oriented associate attorney to join its healthcare litigation team in Asheville, NC. Duties

  • Conduct legal research.
  • Draft and review legal documents.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex matters, including medical malpractice, commercial and business litigation, insurance defense, and product liability.
  • Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations to ensure compliance and provide accurate legal advice.
  • Assist clients with various legal issues ensuring clear communication and understanding.
  • Participate in client meetings and consultations to gather information and discuss case strategies.
  • Maintain organized case files and documentation in accordance with firm policies.
  • Appear at depositions, hearings, and trials in support of client's legal position.

Requirements

  • A JD from an ABA accredited law school with a license to practice law in North Carolina or admission pending to the NC Bar.
  • Strong skills in legal research and legal drafting with a focus on litigation.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to conduct comprehensive legal research.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective client interaction and representation.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • A commitment to ethical practice and maintaining confidentiality.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA accredited law school.

Certifications

  • License to practice law in North Carolina or admission pending to the NC Bar.
