Duties:
Monitor and advise clients on regulatory changes affecting the financial services industry
Provide compliance support and strategic guidance to investment advisers and broker-dealers
Advise on a wide array of legal issues involving hedge funds, private equity, and other alternative investment vehicles
Draft, review, and revise advisory agreements and other legal documents
Deliver practical legal advice on regulatory and business matters related to financial services
Maintain effective communication with clients and stakeholders, including senior executives
Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years of legal experience in investment management, securities, or financial services law
Prior experience in a law firm or in-house legal/compliance department preferred
Proven ability to manage multiple legal matters in a fast-paced environment
Capacity to master new regulations and laws as they evolve
Familiarity with laws governing UCITS funds, the Securities Exchange Act, FINRA regulations, and U.S. broker-dealer operations
Education:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
Certifications:
Active membership in the New Jersey Bar
Skills:
Strong legal research, writing, and drafting skills
Outstanding verbal communication and negotiation abilities
High degree of professionalism and sound judgment
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
Intellectual curiosity and problem-solving capability
Skilled in Microsoft Office; familiarity with Needles case management software is a plus
