Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate to join its Litigation group, focusing on Product Liability, Mass Torts, and Class Actions. This position is available in the New York metropolitan area and various California offices, including San Diego, San Francisco, Palo Alto, and Los Angeles.

Duties

• Assist in managing cases from inception to resolution, including legal research and drafting pleadings.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, providing regular updates and addressing concerns.
• Conduct thorough legal research and draft well-reasoned legal documents.
• Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to develop case strategies.
• Ensure compliance with legal standards and stay updated on legal precedents.
• Participate in professional development and pro bono work.

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of litigation experience, preferably at an AmLaw 100 firm.
• Experience with class action defense, including securities, data and privacy, or consumer litigation.
• Experience managing multi-matter dockets.
• Previous federal clerkship is preferred.
• Strong persuasive legal writing skills.
• Experience running large-scale discovery of matters.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD)
