A well-established family law firm based in Boise, Idaho is seeking an experienced and self-motivated Associate Attorney to manage a caseload focused on divorce, custody, and related family law matters. The role involves independent case handling from strategy through resolution or trial, with strong support from senior attorneys and legal staff. The firm values accountability, integrity, and client-centered representation, and offers a structured, resource-rich environment where attorneys can focus solely on advocacy—no marketing or intake responsibilities required.

Location:

  • Boise, Idaho

Duties:

  • Handle family law matters independently, including divorce, custody, and support cases

  • Serve as first-chair in trials and contested hearings

  • Develop and execute litigation strategies tailored to each case

  • Stay current with legal developments and statutory changes in Idaho family law

  • Comply with firm reporting, billing, and case-review procedures

  • Collaborate with senior attorneys, paralegals, and support staff

  • Utilize case management systems and technology tools effectively

Requirements:

  • 3–5 years of experience practicing family law

  • First-chair litigation and trial experience in family law matters

  • Ability to manage a full caseload with minimal supervision

  • Strong interpersonal and client communication skills

  • Proficiency in using legal technology and case management software

  • Spanish language proficiency is a plus, but not required

  • Willingness to commute to or relocate to Boise, Idaho

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law in the state of Idaho

Skills:

  • Excellent legal research, writing, and courtroom advocacy

  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving in high-conflict family matters
