Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced litigation attorney for its Hackensack, NJ office. The firm specializes in general business litigation, chancery litigation, shareholder and partnership disputes, debtor/creditor disputes, real estate litigation, arbitration and mediation, personal injury litigation, and workers' compensation. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to client service and possess excellent analytical skills.

Duties

• Represent clients in commercial litigation matters, including breach of contract and business torts.
• Handle personal injury litigation and workers' compensation cases.
• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
• Manage all phases of litigation, including discovery, depositions, trial preparation, and trial.
• Provide strategic legal advice to clients and develop effective case strategies.
• Collaborate with other attorneys and support staff to ensure efficient case management.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of applicable laws and regulations.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the NY and NJ Bar and in good standing for at least 3 years.
• Strong analytical, research, and writing skills.
• Excellent oral advocacy and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and work effectively under pressure.
• Strong client communication and interpersonal skills.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• NJ & NY bar license (preferred).
