Duties and Responsibilities:

• Represent clients in workers' compensation defense cases, providing high-quality legal counsel.
• Conduct thorough legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
• Manage a caseload of workers' compensation cases, ensuring timely and effective case progression.
• Attend hearings, depositions, and trials, advocating for clients.
• Maintain regular communication with clients, providing updates and strategic advice.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and support staff to develop case strategies.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in the Illinois State Bar.
• Admission to the Indiana State Bar is a plus.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in workers' compensation and personal injury defense.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Certifications and Skills:

• Certification in Workers' Compensation Law is preferred but not required.
• Ability to meet billable hour requirements (2100 billable hours annually).
• Proficiency in legal research, case management software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
