Salary Starting Rate: $50,650.47 with increases every 6 months to 3rd Year Rate: $56,650.47
Description: A labor organization in Lansing, Michigan is accepting applications for a newly licensed attorney in Michigan to join its In-House Counsel team. The labor organization represents thousands of employees across the state of Michigan regarding labor and employment matters.
The Attorney will handle arbitrations, proceedings before the Michigan Employment Relations Commission, National Labor Relations Board, Michigan Department of Civil Service, Circuit Court, EEOC, and Federal Court. In addition, the attorney will engage in legal research and writing, often involving complex labor and employment issues.
The Attorney must have a passion for the labor movement and be willing to learn. Extensive travel required. Excellent benefit package offered!
Qualifications: Newly licensed attorney with 0-2 years’ experience. Labor Law Course, Moot Court, Mock Trial, & Law Journal experience a plus, but not required.
