Location:

• Key West, FL

Duties:

• Manage a variety of insurance defense cases in multiple areas, including General Liability, Bodily Injury, Nursing Home/ALF, First Party Property, Construction Defect, and Trucking.
• Develop and implement early resolution strategies to facilitate case closure and improve client outcomes.
• Provide timely and comprehensive updates to clients regarding the progress of their cases.
• Participate in trial preparation, including motion filings, case management, and strategic planning.
• Collaborate with team members to craft effective case strategies and identify opportunities for early resolution.
• Take part in weekly training, mentoring sessions, and roundtables to enhance legal skills and career development.
• Leverage case management systems and technology to streamline case handling and ensure efficiency.
• Contribute to business development efforts, including networking and client development, with support from the firm’s Client Development team.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience handling insurance defense matters.
• Experience in handling cases in General Liability, Bodily Injury, First Party Property, and related areas is preferred.
• Ability to explore and apply early resolution strategies and alternatives to traditional litigation.
• Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining a responsive relationship with clients.
• Commitment to timely and accurate reporting of case progress to clients.
• Proficiency with case management systems and legal technology.
• Ability to meet deadlines and effectively manage caseloads.
• A proactive approach to improving the industry and work environment.
• Knowledge of AIM/Perfect Law is a plus.
• Active membership in good standing with the Florida Bar.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Membership in good standing with the Florida Bar.

• Excellent communication (both written and verbal) and client relationship skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
