Job Overview
A law firm seeks an experienced Associate Attorney in Boston, MA, to support its New England asbestos practice group. This hybrid role involves working on complex civil matters, including toxic tort and product liability cases.

Duties

• Handle local and national accounts throughout New England states.
• Independently manage a litigation caseload.
• Conduct depositions and prepare witnesses for deposition and trial.
• Review and analyze discovery requests.
• Prepare and respond to discovery responses and pleadings.
• Prepare court filings and service to counsel; experience with e-filing.
• Engage in trial preparation and support.
• Maintain accurate time records.

Requirements

• A minimum of three years of experience in complex litigation, toxic tort liability, or environmental liability.
• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
• Must be admitted to practice in MA; admission in other New England states preferred.
• Experience with motion practice and depositions.
• Experience taking lead in plaintiff and expert depositions.
• Capable of independent work.
• Work in an organized and efficient manner.
• Superior research and writing skills.
• Ability to multi-task and analyze complex matters.

Education

• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admitted to practice law in Massachusetts.
