Job Overview

A distinguished law firm in Menlo Park, CA, is seeking a skilled attorney focusing on healthcare and life sciences regulatory matters to join its team. This position involves providing comprehensive legal guidance in healthcare regulation, data privacy, and compliance for clients operating in the digital health sector.

Duties

• Counsel clients in healthcare and life sciences industries, particularly digital health companies, on regulatory, compliance, and data protection matters.
• Advise on regulatory frameworks, including HIPAA, CCPA/CPRA, and emerging artificial intelligence and healthcare laws.
• Draft, negotiate, and review contracts and documentation related to healthcare transactions and compliance.
• Assist clients with healthcare fraud and abuse law issues, including compliance with Stark Law and anti-kickback statutes.
• Lead and manage multiple regulatory projects independently, ensuring deadlines are met.
• Provide insights on emerging regulatory challenges and support clients in addressing evolving AI-related legal requirements.

Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in healthcare regulatory or life sciences law.
• Demonstrated expertise working with healthcare providers, technology companies, or digital health organizations on compliance issues.
• Proven ability to handle complex regulatory frameworks and provide proactive solutions to clients.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active Bar membership in California or eligibility for California admission.
