Duties

  • Represent school districts and educational institutions in administrative, civil, and constitutional matters

  • Advise clients on employment, governance, student rights, and education law issues

  • Draft legal documents including motions, briefs, and memoranda

  • Conduct legal research and prepare case strategies

  • Attend hearings, court proceedings, and meetings with educational clients

  • Assist in policy development and compliance with federal and state education regulations

  • Provide public presentations and training to school administrators and staff

Requirements

  • 3–7 years of legal experience

  • Prior experience in litigation or representation of public entities preferred

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Demonstrated commitment to serving educational or public institutions

  • Ability to manage deadlines and balance a diverse caseload

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in the state of Texas

Skills

  • Excellent legal writing and research abilities

  • Effective oral advocacy and interpersonal communication

  • Strong understanding of constitutional, employment, and administrative law

  • Experience in public speaking or conducting legal training is a plus
