Contract Negotiations and Compliance Manager
Work with executive management to evaluate risks and liability exposure during the bid and contract negotiation process. Manage the contracts database used to track, summarize and analyze every contract. Oversee compliance and performance obligations of contracts. Act as liaison and support to facilitate business between the parties and coordinate resolution of minor conflicts. Execute lifecycle contract administration functions; at times, this includes light negotiation on terms. Based on the risk profile of the business need and supplier profile, determine the appropriate contracting vehicle to use. Manage new contracts, contract renewals, and due diligence requirements for HQ and subsidiary offices including drafting and/or reviewing new and existing contracts and producing and/or editing contract addendums and extensions. Work with internal teams to confirm scopes of work, pricing and terms, and compliance requirements. Manage and act to avoid conflicts of interest, preserve the Company’s position, and minimize risks. Ensure accuracy, completeness, compliance of third-party contractors, and timeliness of execution. Collaborate, coordinate, and communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external parties and stakeholders. Recommend process improvements to scale and optimize contracting activities and practices. Maintain electronic records of all versions of contracts. Participate in special projects. Performs other duties as assigned. Collaborative, self-motivated, and efficient, with good business judgment and analytical skills. Innovative, with an interest in working closely with executive leadership and other team members to optimize our contracting practices, while maintaining compliance with our core contractual and regulatory requirements. Should have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt well to change; superior interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact in a professional manner with external customers and partners as well as colleagues at all levels across the organization; Thirst for excellence and enthusiasm to expand his/her experience and take on additional responsibilities in contracting activities; attention to detail; strong wrote and verbal communication skills; strong organizational skills; experience with MS Office suite of programs, including Excel, Word, and SharePoint; ability to work in a team as well as independently solve problems. Business Degree (preferably in general business administration, supply chain, procurement, or pre-law), Paralegal certification, or equivalent experience in contract management required. 2-5 years of contract administration experience; 1-2 compliance administration experience (company certifications, government requirements, etc). Experience working for a Small Business is a plus as this type of atmosphere and culture are very different from working for a large integrator/organization; however, it is not required.
