Westmoreland County is seeking applicants for the position of Department Clerk Trainee in the Domestic Relations Department. The purpose of this position is to research, locate, retrieve, and process various records, forms, and documents for the public, co-workers, county officials and personnel and to provide assistance and information to the public either in the office or over the telephone. Job duties include but are not limited to:
Providing assistance at the counter including answering questions, locating files, giving information, completing applications, forms, and documents, issuing receipts.
Updating files, indexes, computer data bases, dockets and other record systems.
Preparing a variety of documents, reports, memos, correspondence, and other related materials.
Sorting incoming mail and/or preparing outgoing mail; distributing inter-office mail, documents, files and materials as appropriate.
Applicants must have a high school diploma with technical training in basic clerical procedures, including use of computers. Some prior experience preferred. Resumes, applications, and cover letters should be sent to:
