A law firm in Torrance, CA, is seeking a highly qualified Traditional Labor Attorney to join their team. The successful candidate will specialize in traditional labor matters, providing legal counsel and representation to clients on issues such as union organizing campaigns, grievance arbitrations, and unfair labor practice charges.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage traditional labor matters, including union organizing campaigns, for clients.
  • Provide training and counseling to clients on traditional labor issues, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Assist in grievance arbitrations, representing clients effectively in proceedings.
  • Handle unfair labor practice charges, advocating on behalf of clients.
  • Represent clients in National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) trials, presenting cases and arguments.
  • Draft and review policies to ensure compliance with labor laws and support clients' needs.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Must be licensed to practice law and in good standing in the state of California.
  • Excellent analytical and writing skills.
  • Strong writing and public speaking skills.
  • Outstanding academic credentials preferred, preferably in the top 25% of the graduating class.

 

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.
  • Active bar membership in the state of California.

 

Skills:

  • Exceptional analytical and legal research abilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to provide sound legal counsel and representation.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in drafting legal documents and policies.

 

Experience:

A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in traditional labor law.
