Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Bankruptcy Attorney in Cincinnati, Ohio, with the option for remote work. The ideal candidate will have experience representing secured creditors in consumer Chapter 7, 11, and 13 bankruptcy cases. While 2+ years of experience is preferred, the firm is open to training a team-oriented candidate with less experience. A license to practice law in Ohio and/or Kentucky is required.

Duties

• Manage routine bankruptcy matters.
• Draft and review pleadings and claims.
• Attend scheduled hearings.
• Respond to firm-wide bankruptcy inquiries.
• Review client filings.
• Monitor electronic filings (ECFs).
• Resolve routine bankruptcy issues.
• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and the Court.

Requirements

• Knowledge of bankruptcy rules and creditor rights laws.
• Computer literacy and keyboard skills.
• Professionalism and attention to detail.
• Strong time management and communication skills.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Bar admission in Ohio and/or Kentucky.
• Admitted to District and/or Bankruptcy Courts in Ohio and/or Kentucky.

Skills

• Proficiency in bankruptcy law and procedures.
• Effective communication and organizational skills.
