Miami office of our client seeks a civil litigation attorney with 1+ years of experience. The candidate will oversee an active caseload and handle the day-to-day responsibilities of case defense from inception through trial/appeal. This includes, among other things, initial investigations, witness interviews, written discovery, depositions, hearings, mediation, motion practice, and trial. Represent clients in both federal and state courts. Attorney's cases will also involve arbitrations before tribunals. Cases include representation of vessel owners, cruise lines, concessionaires, cargo interests, marine insurance underwriters, and protection and indemnity associations. Draft pleadings and motions and defend said motions before courts and tribunals. Should preferably have maritime experience. Must also be a member in good standing with the Florida Bar. Must have very strong verbal and writing skills. The firm offers health insurance, paid time off, dental insurance, 401(k), and Life insurance.
