A well-established law firm is seeking an experienced and entrepreneurial Family Law Attorney to join its team in Hackensack, New Jersey. This position is designed for a motivated attorney who brings an existing portable book of business and is looking to expand their practice within a collaborative and reputable firm environment. The ideal candidate will be skilled in all aspects of family law and have a strong commitment to client service and business development.

Location:

• Hackensack, New Jersey

Duties:

• Handle a wide range of family law matters including divorce, child custody, child and spousal support, property distribution, and domestic violence

• Draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, parenting plans, and settlement agreements

• Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, arbitrations, and settlement negotiations

• Advise clients through emotionally sensitive and complex legal matters

• Manage and expand a personal caseload and client relationships

• Collaborate with attorneys and support staff on family law cases

• Participate in the growth and development of the firm’s family law practice

Requirements:

• Experience in family law practice

• Proven ability to independently manage cases from intake through resolution

• Existing portable book of business (required)

• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to maintain client relationships

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active license to practice law in New Jersey (required)

• Litigation and courtroom advocacy in family law cases

• Strategic thinking and case planning

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Client-focused approach with emotional intelligence

• Ability to manage a high-volume caseload and meet deadlines
