Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced associate with expertise in general, commercial, and appellate litigation to join its Miami office. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with seasoned legal professionals in a collaborative environment. The ideal candidate will have over three years of experience in commercial litigation and be adept at managing cases from inception to conclusion, including appeals.

Duties

• Handle multiple legal matters at various stages, ensuring strategic progression.
• Communicate effectively with attorneys and clients, maintaining strong interpersonal skills.
• Independently manage cases and demonstrate a commitment to career advancement.
• Produce high-quality legal work and meet billing requirements for client service.
• Manage client relationships and contribute to business development efforts.
• Adhere to the highest ethical standards of the legal profession.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a licensed attorney in a mid to large-sized law firm.
• Experience in traditional and electronic discovery, depositions, motion drafting, and trials.
• Significant courtroom experience, including appeals.
• Strong writing, research, analytical, and oral advocacy skills.
• Ability to lead and manage junior associates and client teams.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively.

Education

• Juris Doctor

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law and in good standing in the state of Florida.
