Director of Recruiting
The candidate will interface regularly with firm management, attorneys at all levels, administrative department managers, law school career services, and others, and continually create, develop and implement effective and innovative processes and best practices for all aspects of the recruiting life cycle from pre-law pipeline programs to lateral associate and staff hiring. Will serve as a thought partner to local office leaders with regard to talent needs and recruiting for their offices, including for attorneys at all levels. Develop short-term and long-term strategies for achieving the firm's hiring goals in the US. Develop and implement recruiting policies, procedures, programs and initiatives to achieve those goals. Oversee law school recruiting efforts, including the management of relationships with career services staff, campus interviews and outreach, and the summer associate program. Oversee lateral associate and staff recruitment efforts in the US, including developing strategies for sourcing, attracting, hiring and retaining highly-talented and diverse attorneys and staff. Oversee development of communication and marketing materials, including the careers site, social media, electronic communications, and other types of communications. Collect market intelligence, conduct research and assess trends related to attorney recruitment. Stay abreast of developments in recruiting to ensure that the firm's recruiting program are innovative and effective. Organize training and guidance in effective and appropriate recruiting and interviewing skills. Analyze post-season recruiting results and implementing strategic improvements as necessary. Work closely with the Diversity and Inclusion team, strategize and implement diversity recruiting initiatives. Develop and manage recruiting budget. Work with the Director of Administration and Department Directors, when appropriate, to manage and provide guidance to practice office recruiting managers and teams. Lead and develop a strong, professional and responsive recruiting team. Streamline and improve existing recruiting processes and tools, bringing an attitude of continuous improvement and adoption of more digital approaches, where appropriate. Build and maintain appropriate vendor relationships, including with LinkedIn, recruiters. Collaborate with other Directors and senior executives as a member of the firm's administrative leadership team.
