The position requires a detail-oriented and motivated attorney to represent clients in a variety of commercial matters, including case management, discovery, and court appearances.

Duties

• Represent clients in a broad range of commercial litigation matters, including disputes related to business and corporate issues.
• Manage cases from inception to resolution, overseeing discovery, depositions, motions, and trial preparation.
• Conduct legal research, draft legal documents, and prepare written reports for clients.
• Communicate with clients regularly to provide case updates and ensure effective collaboration.
• Appear in court for hearings, motions, and other litigation-related proceedings.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Handle discovery matters efficiently and accurately.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to practice law in New York.
• Strong litigation experience, both in and out of the courtroom, with hands-on experience in taking depositions, drafting motions, and making oral arguments.
• Proven ability to conduct legal research and write clear, concise legal documents.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well with clients, colleagues, and opposing counsel.
• Exceptional attention to detail and judgment.
• Experience in a commercial litigation practice is highly desirable.
• Clerkship experience is a plus.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in New York.
