Duties:

• Represent insurance companies and their policyholders in workers' compensation claims and related disputes.
• Provide legal counsel and defense in trials, arbitrations, and mediations.
• Conduct legal research to develop defense strategies.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Attend court hearings and make regular appearances.
• Handle depositions of fact and expert witnesses.
• Engage in the discovery process and prepare discovery motions.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3+ years of experience in workers' compensation defense or related field.
• Licensed to practice law in the State of Connecticut.
• Strong litigation and courtroom experience.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the Connecticut State Bar.

Certifications:

• Connecticut Bar Admission is required.
