Duties

• Assist with drafting legal documents, including motions and pleadings.
• Manage the discovery process, including issuing and answering written discovery, administering depositions, and examining documents.
• Negotiate settlements and perform legal research.
• Make court appearances as necessary.
• Conduct and summarize depositions.

Requirements

• 5-7 years of experience in commercial litigation.
• Familiarity with billing software.
• Ability to prioritize and meet multiple and competing deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Education

• JD degree from an accredited US law school.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Michigan or have taken the Michigan Bar examination in the last 6 months and awaiting results.
