Job Title: Associate Attorney

Job Overview: A reputable law firm in Huntsville, AL, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Associate Attorney. This position focuses on handling a high-volume caseload involving collection and litigation matters. Ideal candidates are self-driven and possess excellent written, analytical, and oral advocacy skills.

Duties:

• Manage breach of contract and collection litigation cases from demand through judgment.
• Represent clients in court hearings, both telephonically and in person.
• Draft and argue motions, including Motions for Summary Judgment.
• Prioritize and manage a high-volume caseload to meet client goals and expectations.
• Handle escalated and time-sensitive matters as required.
• Participate in special projects and other assigned tasks as needed.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice law in the state of California.
• Experience with the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act (FDCPA) and Article 9 of the Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) is a plus.

Education:

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited institution.

Certifications:

• Active membership in the California State Bar.

Skills:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Advanced legal research capabilities using both legal and non-legal resources.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills to handle a large caseload.
