A law firm seeks a Litigation Attorney with 4-8 years of experience to join its litigation practice in Greenville, NC. The ideal candidate will have experience in general business litigation, eminent domain, and real estate litigation.

Duties

• Represent business and property-owner clients in disputes from pre-suit strategy through trial.
• Collaborate with partners and clients on case strategy, discovery, and motion practice.
• Handle complex contract and commercial tort disputes, real property rights, and eminent domain proceedings.
• Draft pleadings and dispositive motions; manage written discovery and depositions.
• Work with experts and develop valuation and damages theories.
• Prepare for and conduct hearings, mediations, and trials.
• Advise clients on risk mitigation, settlement options, and litigation strategy.
• Contribute to business development and firm marketing efforts.

Requirements

• Solid foundation in civil procedure and evidence.
• Excellent legal writing and oral advocacy skills.
• Experience with business disputes and eminent domain matters.
• Experience managing discovery and depositions, and court appearances.

Education

• J.D. from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Good standing with the North Carolina Bar preferred; eligibility for transfer admission considered.
