A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney specializing in Business and Real Estate Litigation in Pasadena, CA. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in litigation support, showcasing precision and diligence in their work.

Duties

• Conduct court appearances via phone, video, or in-person as required.
• Manage case management conferences, status/trial setting, and final status conferences.
• Handle motions, depositions, mediations, and trials independently.
• Supervise paralegals in preparing pleadings and motions.
• Communicate effectively with clients and opposing counsel.
• Review case files and conduct legal research using various resources.
• Draft and respond to legal documents, including pleadings and correspondence.
• Assign, supervise, and revise substantive documents prepared by paralegals.
• Document billable hours per client per month according to approved budgets.
• Meet a minimum billable hour requirement of 6 hours per day.

Requirements

• California Bar License.
• 3-7 years of business and/or real estate litigation experience in LA County courts.
• Live and work experience in LA County.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills; Spanish speaking optional.
• Detail-oriented, diligent, and able to work independently.
• Professional appearance and exceptional problem-solving skills.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Adobe, Dropbox, Zoom, Slack, Asana, Lexis, and Rutter's Guides.
• Home office in a quiet professional location.
• Trustworthy, dependable, and clear background report.

Education

• JD from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• California Bar License.
