Best Buy Co. has openings in Richfield, Minnesota for the position of Senior Software Engineer. Develop and maintain large and complex system applications, in accordance with company methodologies, technical standards, and time and budget estimates. Identify, develop, and document tech designs, code reviews, and design reviews based on business requirements. Use in-depth technical and functional knowledge to translate complex architectural requirements into detailed coding parameters. Establish and articulate coding requirements to both internal and external development. Write code for complex software systems. Lead design workshops and prepare highly complex test scripts and troubleshoot complex software defects when required. Confer with systems analysts, engineers, programmers and others to design systems and to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces. There are multiple openings for this role. Full Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in any IT, computer science, computer information systems, engineering, or related technology field plus five (5) years of progressive, post-bachelor’s experience

in software development, architecture, design, Agile methodologies and coding applications in web and service oriented environments using programming languages (Java, Groovy, Java Script, and

/or

Ruby). The entirety of this experience must also include work with Development Automation, Agile Software Development, Continuous Delivery, Relational Databases, and Service Oriented Architecture and experience using HTML, XML, SQL, CSS, and REST Web Services

In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree plus five years of progressive, post-bachelor’s experience as described above, employer will also accept a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in any IT, computer science, computer information systems, engineering, or related technology field plus three (3) years of experience as described above.
