Senior Legal Counsel

The candidate will provide legal support in connection with preparing responses to requests for proposals and other business development activities directed to the federal government. Provide legal support in connection with reviewing and negotiating contracts with the federal government and implementing and operating federal contracts. To the extent permitted, maintain relationships with Department of Defense (and other agency) legal staff to facilitate collaboration between the company and its customers. Provide legal support in connection with the defense of and the initiation of protests of federal contract awards. Provide legal oversight, direction and/or counsel for the company’s federal line of business on operational and customer issues (e.g., government billing and reimbursement requirement, privacy requirements, security clearances, small business subcontracting plans, conflict of interest plan, data ownership, FOIA requests, compliance systems and requirements). Provide ongoing advice and direction regarding compliance with laws governing federal contracts; investigate and interpret such laws as needed; work in collaboration with the company’s compliance department and compliance attorneys and staff to develop and maintain compliances systems and practices. Participate as legal advisor in meetings with company senior management regarding company strategy and business development. Review, develop, and negotiate teaming agreements with third party providers and vendors, including small businesses, to support the company’s federal contract opportunities and strategies.
