A law firm is seeking a Criminal Defense Attorney for its Dallas, TX, location. The successful candidate will be responsible for proactive client care and providing exceptional quality service in handling cases, with a focus on Texas Criminal Law.

Job Overview:

• Provide legal counsel and representation to clients facing criminal charges.
• Conduct legal research and analysis to build strong defense strategies.
• Represent clients in court proceedings, including trials, hearings, and negotiations.

Duties:

• Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and concerns.
• Investigate case facts, interview witnesses, and gather evidence.
• Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Attend court hearings and advocate for clients' rights and interests.
• Negotiate plea agreements and settlements with prosecutors.
• Prepare clients for trial and provide ongoing legal guidance and support.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to Practice Law in Texas.
• Proven experience in criminal defense law, preferably in Texas.
• Strong understanding of Texas criminal statutes and procedures.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Demonstrated commitment to client advocacy and ethical representation.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Licensed to Practice Law in Texas.
