Job Details:

• Handle cases from preparing responsive pleadings to trial
• Propound and respond to discovery
• Review and summarize medical records
• Conduct depositions of plaintiffs, witnesses, and experts
• Attend court hearings
• Prepare motions/oppositions
• Prepare case status reports to carriers
• Trial preparation
• Prior insurance defense experience is preferred
• Must be driven, self-starter, and able to manage a caseload independently
• Ability to multitask effectively
• Reliable and able to work a caseload independently under the supervision of a firm partner
• Excellent oral advocacy and written communication skills are a must

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of litigation experience
• Strong litigation skills, including discovery, conducting depositions, court appearances, and trial preparation background
• Prior insurance defense experience is preferred

Education/Certifications:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
• Admitted to practice law in the state of California
