A law firm in Austin, TX is seeking a Junior to Mid-Level Managed Care Litigation Associate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of law firm or relevant in-house experience in complex commercial litigation and arbitration, with a strong background in managed care or health care. This role requires exceptional academic credentials, solid writing, research, analytical, and verbal communication skills. The successful candidate will handle multiple cases, manage regulatory or compliance matters, and serve as the primary point of contact for litigation and counseling.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage and litigate cases related to managed care and health care.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and coordinate with other associates and staff.
  • Oversee regulatory and compliance matters, ensuring adherence to relevant laws and regulations.
  • Handle case management and client counseling with significant responsibility.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and prepare detailed legal documents and pleadings.
  • Develop and implement litigation strategies in collaboration with senior attorneys.
  • Represent clients in court, arbitration, and settlement negotiations.
  • Provide expert legal advice and guidance on managed care and health care issues.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in relevant laws and regulations.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in good standing of the California State Bar.
  • 2-3 years of law firm or relevant in-house experience in complex commercial litigation and arbitration.
  • Managed care or health care experience is required.
  • Experience handling multiple cases and managing regulatory or compliance matters.
  • Proven ability to serve as the point person on litigation and/or counseling.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Significant case management and/or client counseling experience.
  • Strong academic credentials.
  • Exceptional writing, research, analytical, and verbal communication skills.
