Job Overview:
A well-established law firm is seeking a full-time Associate Attorney with a minimum of two years of experience to join its growing School Law practice. This position focuses on providing legal services related to special education, Title IX, policy drafting and compliance, and school law matters. Candidates with prior experience in education law, particularly special education litigation and administrative hearings, will be given priority. Location:

• York, PA

Duties:

• Provide legal support and counsel on various aspects of school law, including special education, Title IX, and policy drafting.
• Assist in the development and compliance of educational policies for clients.
• Represent clients in administrative hearings and litigation related to special education matters.
• Draft legal documents such as policies, compliance plans, and legal briefs.
• Advise school districts, educational institutions, and government entities on legal issues affecting education.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop strategies and handle complex cases.
• Participate in litigation, including hearings and trials, particularly in special education matters.

Requirements:

• Minimum of two years of experience in school law or education law.
• Prior experience with special education, Title IX, and policy drafting preferred.
• Experience in administrative hearings and litigation is highly desirable.
• Strong legal research, writing, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Strong client service and problem-solving skills.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the Pennsylvania Bar (or ability to waive in if licensed in another jurisdiction).

Skills:

• Expertise in special education law, Title IX, and education policy.
• Proficient in legal research and drafting documents, including policy and compliance materials.
• Experience in litigation, particularly administrative hearings and special education matters.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
