Supervising Counsel
The candidate will provide first-line supervision of cases and projects for a portion of the Housing docket and ensure high-quality work products. The cases and projects under their supervision will be identified in consultation with the appropriate Deputy Legal Director or the Legal Director. Develop a docket of cases, including oversight of the development of cases and projects, and help facilitate collaboration with other practice areas. Should have experience in civil rights, racial equity or housing litigation. Knowledge of the District of Columbia and its neighborhoods is preferred. Demonstrated awareness and sensitivity to the needs and concerns of individuals from diverse cultures, backgrounds, and orientations. Able to contribute to the creation of a diverse, equitable, and inclusive culture that encourages and celebrates differences. Experience managing people, including the ability to ensure excellent work product, promote the career development of team members and foster effective communication, collaboration, decision-making, and mutual respect. D.C. Bar membership (in good standing), or the ability to waive into the DC Bar (Required).
