Job Title: Associate Attorney

Job Overview:
A respected law firm located in Summerville, SC is seeking a full-time Associate Attorney to contribute across a broad spectrum of legal matters, including personal injury, workplace matters, business structuring, estate planning, and federal benefit claims. This opportunity is ideal for a motivated attorney eager to gain diverse legal experience in a collaborative, client-focused setting. Recruitment for this role is being conducted on behalf of the law firm by a third-party legal recruiting agency.

Duties:

• Represent clients in civil litigation matters including personal injury and employment disputes

• Advise individuals and businesses on entity formation and corporate governance

• Assist clients with drafting wills and other estate documents

• Prepare and file applications and appeals for Social Security Disability claims

• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda

• Appear in court proceedings and administrative hearings as required

• Maintain communication with clients to provide regular updates on case progress

• Collaborate with colleagues to develop case strategies and solutions

Requirements:

• Active license to practice law in the State of South Carolina

• Ability to manage a diverse caseload with minimal supervision

• Strong legal writing and oral advocacy skills

• Prior experience in any of the following areas is beneficial: personal injury, employment law, estate planning, business law, or disability claims

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• South Carolina State Bar license (required)
