This role offers a unique opportunity to gain courtroom experience by serving as a municipal prosecutor while simultaneously developing a private client base in one or more well-established practice areas.

Prosecute criminal matters for surrounding municipalities as City Attorney
Represent private clients in family law, personal injury, or other practice areas
Attend court hearings, trials, and negotiations
Build and manage a private caseload
Communicate effectively with clients, court staff, and opposing counsel
Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, and prepare legal memoranda
Develop case strategies and advocate on behalf of clients
Interest in courtroom litigation and trial work
Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple cases
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Desire to build and expand a private client base
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
Admission to practice law in the State of Minnesota or eligibility for admission
Strong oral advocacy and courtroom skills
Excellent legal research and writing abilities
Client-focused approach with strong interpersonal skills
Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines
