Job Title: Immigration And Human Rights Attorney
Job Overview:
A respected law firm based in Austin, TX is seeking an experienced Immigration & Human Rights Associate Attorney to join its growing legal team. The role centers on providing dedicated, high-quality legal support to individuals and families navigating complex immigration processes. Duties:
Provide direct legal representation in immigration proceedings before federal and administrative bodies, including:
Immigration Courts (EOIR), USCIS, BIA, AAO, ICE, and Asylum Offices
Federal and state courts, credible/reasonable fear interviews
Conduct comprehensive immigration consultations, advising clients on eligibility, processes, risks, and benefits
Supervise and guide paralegals, case managers, interns, and support staff
Maintain accurate and timely case records in digital case management systems
Engage in public-facing activities, including professional speaking engagements, media interviews, and CLE events
Coordinate client referrals to external service providers (e.g., mental health professionals, NGOs) when needed
Contribute to the firm's community presence and outreach initiatives
Take on additional legal or organizational duties as required
Requirements:
Active membership in good standing with any U.S. state bar
Minimum 3-5 years of legal experience, preferably with a concentration in immigration law
Fluency in English and Spanish
Demonstrated ability to handle a demanding caseload with professionalism and integrity
Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% of the time
Education:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
Certifications:
Active Bar license in Texas or a state with reciprocity preferred
Skills:
Deep understanding of U.S. immigration law and procedures
Strong written and oral advocacy skills
Ability to work compassionately and effectively with clients from diverse backgrounds
Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
Capacity to work independently while maintaining collaborative team dynamics

Job Location:
Austin, TX (Hybrid role with expected presence in the Austin-San Antonio corridor)
