A law firm seeks a Tax Associate for its Minneapolis, MN office. The ideal candidate will have at least four years of experience in complex federal transactional tax matters and a commitment to obtaining an active bar license in the corresponding state.

Duties

• Advise on business entity formations, mergers, acquisitions, and reorganizations.
• Provide guidance on state and local tax matters, including income, franchise, sales, and use tax.
• Collaborate with non-profit and for-profit clients on tax-related issues.

Requirements

• Minimum of four years of relevant tax experience preferred.
• Active bar license in the corresponding state or commitment to obtain one.
• Experience with federal transactional tax matters.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.

Certifications

• Active bar license or eligibility to obtain one.
