Job Overview

A law firm seeks a mid-senior level Mergers & Acquisitions Associate with 3+ years of experience to join its national M&A practice in New York. The associate will advise public and private companies, strategic investors, and private equity sponsors on complex domestic and cross-border transactions.

Duties

• Draft and negotiate transaction documents.
• Manage diligence processes.
• Execute mergers, acquisitions, and strategic transactions.
• Integrate legal technologies and workflow tools.
• Lead workstreams and serve as a key client contact.
• Collaborate across offices and practices.

Requirements

• 3+ years of M&A experience.
• Experience with public and private company M&A preferred.
• Knowledge of federal securities laws and/or Delaware corporate law preferred.
• Experience with technology and life sciences companies is a plus.
• Outstanding academic credentials.
• Excellent analytical, writing, and interpersonal skills.

Education

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admitted to the bar in the jurisdiction of practice.
