A law firm seeks a transactional associate with at least three years of experience or a senior counsel with at least eight years of experience to join the investment management team of their Business Law Group in San Diego, CA. The ideal candidate will have experience in a variety of investment management matters, including regulatory compliance, private fund formation, and general corporate work.

Duties

• Advise on investment adviser, investment company, and broker-dealer regulatory compliance.
• Assist in the formation of private funds and institutional investor representation.
• Engage in transactions within the investment management space.
• Collaborate with legal and non-legal professionals both inside and outside the firm.

Requirements

• Minimum of three years of experience for associates; eight years for senior counsel.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission to the state bar.
