Duties

• Represent clients in legal matters related to nursing homes and assisted living facilities.
• Conduct thorough investigations into claims of abuse, neglect, or malpractice.
• Prepare and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
• Attend court hearings, depositions, and trials.
• Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients.
• Provide legal counsel to clients regarding their rights and options.
• Collaborate with medical experts and other professionals to build strong cases.
• Stay current with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
• Advise nursing home and assisted living facility administrators on compliance issues.
• Advocate for policy changes to improve the quality of care in nursing homes and assisted living facilities.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Active membership in good standing with the Florida Bar.
• Experience in elder law, personal injury, medical malpractice, or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience handling cases involving nursing home or assisted living facility residents.
• Strong understanding of federal and state regulations governing nursing homes and assisted living facilities.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
