Job Title: Litigation Associate Attorney

Job Overview:
A Los Angeles-based law firm is expanding its litigation team and seeks a driven associate to support a diverse docket of environmental toxic tort and commercial disputes. This position is suited for a motivated attorney looking to enhance litigation capabilities in a structured yet collegial environment, with guidance from experienced litigators and long-term opportunities for growth.

Duties:

• Manage a wide range of civil litigation tasks, including direct client interaction, written motions, and settlement strategy

• Handle discovery responses, appearances, and pre-trial proceedings across state and federal jurisdictions

• Conduct and defend depositions with confidence and clarity

• Prepare comprehensive dispositive motions and related legal documentation

• Collaborate with partners across offices on multi-jurisdictional legal strategies

• Support case analysis, legal research, and procedural planning

• Actively participate in mediation and resolution negotiations

• Contribute to a team-oriented environment while independently advancing assigned cases

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience handling complex civil litigation

• Familiarity with commercial, environmental, and construction-related legal matters preferred

• Proven experience in motion practice, discovery, depositions, and client communications

• Demonstrated ability to work independently while integrating into a broader litigation team

• Willingness to be mentored and collaborate across locations using remote tools

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active California Bar membership in good standing
