Litigation Associate Attorney

Profile

A law firm seeks a skilled Litigation Associate Attorney with gaming regulatory experience, preferably with a focus on the tribal gaming space. The ideal candidate will be proficient in drafting and arguing discovery motions, conducting depositions, and exhibit exceptional oral and written advocacy skills. They must demonstrate strong academic credentials and be capable of effectively managing cases, taking the lead when necessary. Admission to practice law in a state is required.

Duties:

• Draft and argue discovery motions related to gaming regulatory matters.
• Take and defend depositions in litigation cases involving the gaming industry.
• Manage and oversee case files, ensuring deadlines are met and tasks are completed efficiently.
• Conduct legal research and analysis pertaining to gaming law and regulations.
• Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies and approaches.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience representing clients in the gaming industry (casino gaming, sports betting, iGaming, fantasy sports, etc.) within a mid-size to large law firm setting.
• Admitted to practice law in a state.
• Proficiency in handling gaming regulatory matters is preferred, with specific experience in tribal gaming being advantageous.
• Strong background in drafting legal documents and motions, with an emphasis on discovery motions.
• Proven experience in conducting depositions and cross-examinations.
• Excellent oral and written advocacy skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex legal concepts.
• Demonstrated ability to manage caseloads independently and efficiently.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the State Bar association.
