A law firm in Washington D.C. seeks a Junior to Mid-level Real Estate Associate Attorney with 2-5 years of experience. The ideal candidate should have at least 1 year of experience working on commercial real estate transactions. Strong academic credentials, references, and excellent writing skills are required. Candidates must be licensed to practice law in Washington D.C. or eligible to become licensed.

Duties:

  • Assist in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial real estate transaction documents, including purchase agreements, leases, and financing agreements.
  • Conduct due diligence reviews for real estate transactions, including title examinations, surveys, and environmental assessments.
  • Provide legal advice and support to clients on real estate matters, including property acquisitions, dispositions, and leasing transactions.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop and implement legal strategies for real estate transactions.
  • Attend meetings, negotiations, and closings with clients and other parties involved in real estate transactions.
  • Research and analyze real estate laws, regulations, and case precedents.

Requirements:

  • 2-5 years of experience in real estate law.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working on commercial real estate transactions.
  • Excellent academic credentials from a reputable institution.
  • Strong references demonstrating reliability and professionalism.
  • Current license to practice law in Washington D.C. or eligibility for licensure.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admission to the Bar in Washington D.C. or eligibility for admission.
